Community Advisory Council Member Role Description.
The Community Advisory Council (CAC) is a group of Omaha nonprofit and community leaders who help shape what Omaha Data Commons (ODC) builds and how we build it. ODC's mission is to turn community data into a tool for storytelling, advocacy, and collective action in Omaha. Council members bring the on-the-ground knowledge that keeps that work grounded in what the community actually needs.
What Members Do.
Council members help turn what ODC hears from the community into a concrete plan and keep that plan on track as the work grows.
Attend monthly CAC sessions, a mix of virtual and in-person meetings.
Help validate what ODC has learned from the community and translate it into concrete plans.
Share candid feedback from your professional and lived experience as the work develops.
Support ODC's work by helping raise awareness of ODC, participating in data gathering initiatives, and contributing in other ways that fit your time and interests.
